He is specialized in dispute resolution, arbitration and appearances before courts as well as the EU-Commission and regulatory bodies such as European Finance Inspections, tax authorities and The SEC. Christer AHolm has an almost unique experience of international business law; its diversities, possibilities and risks but also with thereby connected compliance questions and, when the need arises, criminal law. His practice has always focused on the international insurance market, with legal advise regarding the creation and interpretation of policy terms, fraud investigations, mostly of larger size committed against banks and other financial institutions on both the national and the international level and thereby connected white-collar crimes. During many years he acted as External Counsel for AIG in Scandinavia (during the reign of the legendary Mr Maurice ”Hank” Greenberg). Mr Holm is often engaged as a senior risk adviser. Within the core sector of business law he has worked especially with the food industry, convenience store chains and wholesellers focusing on strategic analyses, rent of property and distribution. He has also been deeply involved in the car industry. Among other things he was legally responsible for establishing the BMW Group in Scandinavia in 1991 and has ever since been deeply involved in the car industry with dealer contracts, environmental issues, competition law and real estate specially constructed for car industry purposes.
