About Andrew Davies Andrew has been practising family law for over 40 years and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist, nationally accredited mediator and family law arbitrator and consistently ranked as pre-eminent in family law by Doyles. An alumnus from University of Western Australia he holds a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Laws. Andrew is admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of WA. In 2000 he was one of the founding partners of O’Sullivan Davies. It has been recognised as a top-tier firm for the last 10 years in Australia for its expertise in family/matrimonial law and divorce matters. In addition our lawyers are individually recognised in Doyles Guide as leading in areas of High-Value & Complex Property matters and Parenting, Custody & Children’s matters. Working with families to resolve disputes without litigation remains a key objective for Andrew. He has been very involved in the development and use of ADR in family law matters utilising mediation, collaboration, conciliation and arbitration personally and through his role as Chair of Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM). This is the national body for family law ADR and works closely with Family Courts, the Australian Government, family law organisations and the profession to continue to develop and promote the use of dispute resolution options for families. Andrew has a particular interest in property settlements, financial agreements and international family law. He is also a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL), former Chair of the Family Law & Family Rights Section of LawAsia.
