Joseph Loggia Buxbaum, Loggia and Associates, Inc. Insurance and Reinsurance Expert of the Year Joseph Loggia Over the past 50 years, Joseph Loggia has served in various capacities with companies, brokers and consultants before co-founding Buxbaum, Loggia and Associates, Inc. in 2000. His experience includes management of ceded and assumed reinsurance portfolios, audit assignments for major domestic and international reinsurers, and expert witness testimony. Joe spent more than 14 years working for companies such as Liberty Mutual, Home Insurance, Northwestern National and Armco Group in a number of senior management positions. He has been an active member of underwriting, loss control and claim committees. At Buxbaum Loggia, Joe is an audit leader for casualty and accident/health inspections and leads commutation teams for both cedent and reinsurer settlements. He also provides expert opinions and, when necessary, expert testimony regarding a wide range of insurance and reinsurance issues. Joe is a Certified Arbitrator of ARIAS, and a member of several industry organizations including the American Bar Association (ABA), California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, Insurance & Reinsurance Legacy Association in the United Kingdom and the International Association of Claim Professionals. He has been a featured speaker and panelist at annual conferences for the ABA, Association of Insurance & Reinsurance Run-Off Companies, and the Casualty Actuarial Society. Joe has been an expert witness in civil litigation and reinsurance arbitrations since 1986 and has been deposed as a fact and expert witness on more than 100 occasions. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, he served as a captain in the U.S. Army and attended the University of LaVerne, College of Law.
