Unlike most specialized Intellectual Property lawyers in Brazil, Eduardo began his professional career in multinational companies, world leaders in their respective market segments. In 2006, he transitioned his career to work in law firms in the area, having been a member of two of the largest IP law firms of the country. Currently, with 20 years of experience, Eduardo is one of the founding partners of ABO IP (founded in April 2017), and recognized as one of the best lawyers in the field in the country.

Eduardo has acquired experience in the most diverse topics of IP (in particular, trademarks and domain names), in the advisory/administrative, contractual, pre-litigation and judicial spheres. Throughout his career, he has managed large portfolios in the most different types of industries (such as technology, entertainment, retail, pharma/healthcare and cosmetics, to name a few), as well as assisting startups, medium and small companies, from simple to the most complex cases. Praised by clients for the agility, depth, care and excellence of his services, which has been affording his presence (and his law firm) in national and international rankings, such as Who’s Who Legal (2021-2022), World Trademark Review 1000 (2021-2022) and Análise Advocacia (2018-2019).

Post-graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-RJ) in Intellectual Property and graduated in Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), Eduardo is a member of the OAB-RJ and INTA (appointed as a member of the Unreal Committee since 2020), in addition to being a neutral for trademark matters in Brazil. With his office, he is part of the ABPI and IPO – Intellectual Property Owners Association.
