Jean-Pierre assists French and foreign corporate groups, industrial and commercial companies, in connection with financial and corporate matters including M&A, external growth transactions, corporate reorganizations, private equity, fund raising and other financial law issues. He advises a clientele of banks, financial institutions and investment funds established within and outside the European Union, working notably on financial regulatory issues.
Jean-Pierre is involved in the Bank and Finance department of Bremens Avocats Notaires, a dedicated team composed of lawyers and notaries handling a wide range of financial operations, both national and international. Notaries and lawyers work closely alongside French and foreign banks in the context of reviewing financial documentation, drafting financing and guarantee contracts in French and English, and issuing legal opinions and the establishment of securities and mortgages on assets located in France.
As a professor of law at the university of Lyon, Jean-Pierre has been teaching French, European and International corporate law and financial law for fifteen years. He used to teach European and French corporate law for American students in several American universities (Chapel Hill (NC), Athens (GA), Baton Rouge (LA)).
He has spoken several times in recent year at academic conferences on international corporate law.
