Sharon litigated cases at Simmons & Fletcher, P.C. from 1991-1995. Since then, she has taken over the handling of the pre-litigation division of the firm and has successfully resolved 80% of all pre-litigation files. Whether they have physical disabilities, little education, or just need someone to listen, she gives each one the attention and care they deserve.

Sharon Simmons-Cantrell graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991 and begin as a litigator at Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm founded by her late uncle, Robert S. Simmons in 1979. Sharon is now the President of the firm. Along with her partners Christopher K. Fletcher and Paul H. Cannon, they handle a wide variety of accident and injury cases. Sharon is in charge of the prelitigation department where she oversees a staff of seven case managers and numerous support staff. She is the primary negotiator for cases.
Sharon was recognized as a Distinguished Lawyer in 2022 by Lawyer of Distinction, a Leading Woman of 2021 by Living Magazine, and a Top Lawyer by H Texas Magazine from 2013-2019. She is presently a member of the Christian Trial Lawyers’ Association, The Texas Bar Association, and the Texas Aggie Bar Association. She is also a Deacon at Willow Meadows Baptist Church, a position in which she has served since 2005.
