Matthew Williams has a wealth of experience across the globe. Matthew qualified at SJ Berwin in 1998 and has since worked for Baker Botts, Chadbourne & Parke, Freehills and Allen & Overy in London, Sydney, Tokyo and Ho Chi Minh City. Matthew has worked in Qatar for eight years and is best known for his work in the project finance and international arbitration sectors. Matthew has worked on both the lender and sponsor side in some of Qatar’s biggest and most recent project financings, including the Facility D IWPP and the Al Kharsaa solar project. Matthew has a thorough knowledge of Qatar’s difficult financing environment, as well as a good knowledge of project and construction documentation.
